Sample Review: Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream

I’ve used many samples of this in the past and recently, but never owned the full size. This bb cream claims to balance oil and moisture, last for 12 hours, and be gentle to the skin. It has SPF25 PA++. The colour I’ve tried is 21, which generally works for me in the winter for any Korean product (bb cream, bb cushion, powder, whatever comes in shade 21). In the winter I’m generally the lightest shade of any North American foundation. I would say this has a medium, slightly buildable coverage. My favourite thing about this bb cream is how smooth the texture is. I would definitely powder this bb cream. I, personally, have to powder EVERYTHING, but I think anyone would need a light layer of powder to cut down on some dewiness. This wears well and blots well; it doesn’t get weird and patchy. I don’t think it will keep any oil at bay. This bb cream doesn’t dry out my skin like some foundations can. My cheeks tend to get uncomfortably dry but it wasn’t so bad at all with this.

Beauty Blogger of the Month Nomination – August

Wow! So honoured! The gorgeous Jay from Just Jay Beauty ( has nominated me for August’s Beauty Blogger of the Month Award!

Here’s the original award post:

Since I answered the same questions for a different nomination, I think I’ll make my own. That way you can all get to know me a little better!

1. Everyday foundation of the moment?
Normally I switch it up, but lately I’ve been sticking with the Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion. Would you guys like a review?

2. Beauty product you can’t leave the house without?
Powder!!! I blot and powder all day, oh my gosh. Between the heat and my oily skin…not good. I need to be able to touch up.

3. HG mascara?
Good ol’ CoverGirl LashBlast. I keep trying others but I always come back to this one.

4. If you could only use blush, bronzer, or highlighter for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Probably blush. It makes me feel…cute? I’ve only started using bronzer recently to contour, and highlighter doesn’t always compliment my oily skin.

5. What’s your typical brow routine?
I pluck the strays and use clear brow gel. I also dye them every few weeks to match my red hair.

6. Lipstick, gloss, balm, or stain/tint?
Gloss! But a pigmented one…I’m loving Quo lip glosses right now. Want a review?

7. Skin type?
Combination. Sometimes it’s drier or oilier than other times, but it’s pretty much always combination.

Review: Freeman Facial Purifying Clay Mask Açai

My pores clog up like crazy. They seem to be especially bad lately, so while I was at the grocery store the other day I grabbed a couple of those little mask packs. This was the first one I tried out. I got two uses out of it, but easily could have gotten 3-4. I piled it on super thick. The mask is a bright teal colour and lightly scented. Sadly, I feel it did nothing for my pores, though it claims to clear pores. I definitely won’t be purchasing the full size.
